Tips & Tricks: Using the T Bevel.

T-Bevel
7" Shinwa brand t-bevel on the Bevel Boss

Setting the Bevel with the Bevel Boss  Adjust the t-bevel to match the desired bevel. Bevel Boss eliminates "black line fever," using generous spacing between its sharp, black etched lines and numbers. Has distinct ½ degree marks and ¼ degree dots for easy reading. Of course any t-bevel will work with the bevel boss--we like the precision, narrow blade for getting into tight places, and the rugged simplicity and corrosion resistance of the Shinwa bevel.

Reading a bevel on the Bevel Boss   To find out what angle a measured piece of wood has, just slide your set T-bevel up and down the Bevel Boss until you get an exact match. If the T-bevel blade falls between two Bevel Boss lines, you can read to the nearest ½ degree using the ½ degree marks between Bevel Boss angle lines. You can read to the nearest ¼ degree using the ¼ degree dots.
