Tips & Tricks: Use with a miter saw, router, for safe utility knife cutting, for drilling.
Miter Saw  Use the measurement from the Bevel Boss to set the miter saw. Use it to set your miter gauge when making a miter cut. Just set the edge of the bevel boss on the block of the miter gauge, and then align the bar with the correct angle.

router trick
Router  Use the Bevel Boss 3" end scale to set the bit depth. It works well even with large plate openings.

safe cutting trick
Cutting with Utility Knife  Use the Bevel Boss for a straight cut with a utility knife, which makes it easy to hold the tool firmly with fingers well away from the cut for safety and visibility.

angled drilling trick
Angled Drilling  Set the Bevel Boss on its edge against the face of the material being drilled. Align the drill bit with the desired angle on the Bevel Boss. Use a flashlight or other light source to project the shadow of the drill bit onto the Bevel Boss.
Drill Press  The Bevel Boss can be used to set depth of hole for a drill press.
